I take systems that work only because someone remembers how they work, and turn them into systems another person can operate, test, and recover.
Sixteen years of federal engineering and operations behind it. A private platform, a local AI lab, and a public framework in front of it.
Now Playground has reached Tranche D: homepage and live log access are commissioned, with the next services still behind acceptance gates.

A private platform, a local AI laboratory, and a public framework. Different materials; the same instinct to make complex work inspectable and durable.

A private AI lab where models run on owned hardware, used to test what agents can safely do on their own and where that line should sit.
Local models on an RTX 3090 · gateway commissioned Aug 2026
A public, versioned framework for leaving one chapter and finding the next—written while it was happening and revised when reality disagreed.
Dated entries across eleven months · public version history
The recurring contribution is a way of moving from ambiguity to something a person can operate, test, recover, and improve.
Commissioning is the step most projects skip: proving the thing works, proving it recovers, and writing down what you learned before anyone calls it done.
Trace the work, boundaries, dependencies, and failure modes.
Prefer bounded, reversible moves with explicit acceptance.
Observe normal operation, negative cases, restart, and recovery.
Document the decisions and evidence—not just the final state.
Field note / Waymaking
After sixteen years in federal engineering and operations, I left to recover, explore, and build. Gentry Advisory began as a consulting practice. The lab became more serious. A public framework emerged. The next chapter may be a role, a client, a product, or a stranger combination.
So the site shows the work instead of a conclusion.
